Angela Baumgardner
Welcome to High School. I am an educator here at Sequoyah. For the past twenty plus years, I have had the privilege in Monroe County to facilitate learning, foster development, and attempt to inspire students to grow and achieve their potential. Here at Sequoyah this involves guiding learners through their academic and personal journeys by sharing knowledge, nurturing critical thinking, and creating an engaging and supportive environment that prepares them for the future. This year in Algebra I, our freshman, will be creating a foundation for their high school Mathematics.
Algebra I introduces students to fundamental algebraic concepts, including expressions, linear equations, and functions. Key topics include solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities, working with polynomials and exponents, understanding systems of equations, and introducing quadratic equations. The course develops skills in problem-solving and modeling real-world situations using algebraic tools.
