Bio

Hi! My name is Valarie Emmert. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Lee University, and I’ve now completed my master’s degree in teaching there as well.

I’m passionate about helping students connect with literature in meaningful ways—so they see not just words on a page, but voices, ideas, and emotions that still matter today. I currently teach 9th grade English and love designing lessons that make reading and writing engaging, creative, and relevant. In my class, our motto is: “We will read, write, and think every day.”
