Mrs. Borden

My name is Lisa Borden and I have been teacher at Sequoyah High School since its inception in 1994-95. I am excited to be in my 28th year of teaching Math and have this opportunity to be part of educating the students of Monroe County. I also am the Huddle Coach of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at SQHS.

I’d like to take this time to share something about myself. I studied at Mineral Area Community College in Park Hills, MO, Carson-Newman University, Tennessee Wesleyan University, and The University of Tennessee - Knoxville.  My husband of 29 years, Mitch and I settled into Madisonville in 2001 to work and raise our daughter, Abbey. Over the years I have had many different educational opportunities. Each experience has helped me grow as a teacher and understand the importance of quality education.

I believe you are the expert when it comes to your child. You have already spent many years as the most important teacher in his/her life. The more we communicate, the better chance we’ll have of maximizing your child’s potential.  The relationship I have with you and your child is important to me. Feel free to use the contact information below if you have questions, concerns and/or ideas.
